Lucas Alan Dietsche is a formerly incarcerated person that graduated from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2014. After finishing probation in 2015, he joined EXPO in April, 2016. He has attended and presented at several American Society of Criminology conferences with the Convict Criminology group. As a self-taught poet has published works such as “Word Out”, “Elba”, “Commies and Zombies”, “Since the Oregon Trail”,“Moods are Like Wisconsin Weather”, “and Kapshida.” He is pursuing a Masters in Criminology/Criminal Justice through the University of Wisconsin-Platteville to study sex deviance, Marxist criminology, and prisoner identity. He is also working on an autoethnography on his experiences in jail, prison, and on probation. In the future, he wants to in any capacity to be a peer support specialist, work in academia, or a criminal just think tank. He currently lives in Superior, Wisconsin.
